What We Do

Parkway Middle School Builders Club

Our Kiwanis club brings in food and treats and recognizes, supports and encourages the kids, through example, so they feel empowered to do great things in their communities. We support Builders Club service projects, facilitate the Builders Club meetings, provide mentorships.

Our club sponsors the Grossmont College Circle K, teaching kids Leadership thru Acts of Service.

Special Olympics Annual Competition

Working with many Kiwanis Clubs in East County, we support a Special Olympics competition every year.

Local schools BBQ’s

The local elementary schools in our area know who to call when they need help feeding families for their big events. Whether it is an Open House, a Fall Festival, or a Craft night, Kiwanians in Fletcher Hills bring the spatula and make sure everyone is fed.

Operation AMPed

Kiwanis members BBQ every year for our Wounded Warriors as they take to the water in surfing put on by the Operation Amped organization.

Rady’s Children’s Hospital

Our Kiwanis Club raises money thru our Miracle Miles of Quarters Events to support Pediatric Trauma. Builder’s Club participates in the Quarter Art competition.

Support of Our Troops

Our Club, with the help of our Builder’s Club and Boy Scout Troop, sends 100 filled stockings to our troops overseas at Christmas.

Emergency Response

Quick response support for local emergencies like earthquakes, flooding, fires, and recently Covid-19 Food assistance by providing volunteers and materials

Food for needy families in Fletcher Hills

Our club raises funds to donate to our local Food Bank, as well as supplies can food to families thru our local schools

Meals on Wheels

We deliver Meals to seniors twice a month.

Support Boy Scout Troop 324

Our club sponsors the local Boy Scout troop, providing scholarships, camping equipment, Court of Honor Awards, and cooking at Pancake Breakfasts.

American Flag maintenance.

For twenty years, Fletcher Hills Kiwanis has maintained the flag or our Country at the corner of Fletcher Parkway and Navajo.

Key Leader Camp

Key Leader Camp is a weekend retreat and workshop for high school students in the county to learn leadership skills. Our Club sponsors students every year.

Ronald McDonald House

Kiwanians from Fletcher Hills can always be seen manning the corner of Navajo and Jackson on Red Shoe Day.
